IT'S ABOUT NAIROBI
There's something special about home. It's true what they say- you always come back.
Something has to be said about Nairobi's ability to inspire: and that's because of it's people. They are unmatched. Everything I am is a collection of my experiences from home. It's 24hrs of Shopping at Prestige and the Pizza Inn in Westy that has us covered on a night out. It's the Kange with the crude jokes and the rain that turns highways into parking spots. It's 100 bob shots at Molly's, or the impromptu photoshoot on the swings in Central Park. It's masala fries at Java and Cocktails at Artcaffe. It's Nyam-Chom at Olepolos and fruit salad at City Market. It's another new shopping mall and the same old reliable Gikomba. It's both East and West of Moi Avenue. It's Prisca Ojwang and her incredible voice and spirit. It's Sage, KIU, Patricia and GMoney driving the industry to new heights.
Afro Loving is loving the afro on my head and the music the man underneath it has created. Withdrawal Symptoms is the result of cutting off from a steady stream of greatness all too soon.
It's Nairobi: everything around it and the people in it.
It's how we all fit: perfectly.
